The Consulate General of the
People's Republic of China in New York condemns the
terrorist attacks on World Trade Center in New York City
this morning. After the incident, the Chinese Consulate has
immediately tried to find out casualties among the Chinese
people there. Up to now we are told that there is no death
except that one Chinese staff has been injured and been
taken to the hospital. The Chinese Consulate expresses its
sympathy and solicitude for the injured and their families,
and extends its regards to the whole Chinese origins here,
including students, compatriots of Hong Kong and Taiwan, who
have been shocked by the horrible incident. The Chinese
Consulate expresses its deep sympathy and sincere solicitude
for all the injured and the dead as well as their families.
Please contact the Chinese Consulate if anyone has
information about casualties concerned the Chinese. The
Chinese Consulate will provide necessary assistance to all
the Chinese people who need help. Those who need help and
want to get in touch with their families in China can reach
the Consulate. The Chinese Consulate will surely provide
assistance to all the Chinese people who have been affected
by the incident, and provide supports and cooperation to the
New York City Council to restore the normal
